Hi! I'm Lindsay Cooper and I'm based in Denver, Colorado. I focus on early and mid-career coaching, as well as pre-marital and early marriage counseling.
I've always had two intellectual loves: Computers and the Human Brain. In the first 15 years of my career, computers won. I began with research in the areas of human computer interaction, security, and software systems. From there I moved on to mid- and early-stage startups, focused on email marketing, FinOps, and AI voice customer service. Along the way I transitioned from being an individual contributor to a manager. This move was where I found my special sauce in technology. I love helping people grow their careers. I love hearing the long version of the story. And, I love figuring out a political system within an organization and helping navigate it. If you want help in any of these areas, especially if you work in technology, I would love to work with you.

When I double majored in Psychology and Computer Science in undergrad, a lot of grown-ups asked me: What are you going to do with that? My flippant answer was always: One is for my mid-life crisis! Well, it turns out 20 year old me was right. The human brain is taking the lead now.
In 2026, I left my senior engineering manager job at an AI startup, and started graduate school to become a mental health counselor. Calling the career switch a crisis is a bit dramatic, but it is definitely a big pivot. One made after almost a year of searching for what wasn't quite right in my day job. So often as a manager I got to know bits of what was going on in the lives of my employees: The hard and the happy parts of their life outside of work. The longer I managed, the better I got at building trust. With that trust I got to hear more about these outside of work situations. I finally realized that I wanted to talk about those things all the time.
Part of the year of searching included exploring what being a counselor would feel like. One of the initial sparks to actually career change was reflecting on the value of working with a couples therapist during my engagement with my husband. We used the Prepare/Enrich framework and it meaningfully changed the trajectory of our relationship. So I got certified as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. Since then, I've worked with both pre-marital and early marriage couples. And, it has been the most rewarding work in this season of transition. I love helping couples improve their communication, strengthen their conflict resolution, and generally understand each other better. If you would like to improve these things in your relationship, I would love to work with you.
